Kathmandu- The share market will be open on Friday from June. The government has decided to give public holidays on Saturday and Sunday with effect from June.
The Nepal Securities Board (NSB) has also decided to open the stock market on Friday.
According to Ramesh Kumar Hamal, chairman of sebon, instructions have been given to open the stock market on Friday and further necessary procedures are being worked out.
Earlier, the shares were traded for only five days from Sunday to Thursday, but the government decided to grant a public holiday on Sunday.
However, as per the government’s decision to grant public leave on Sunday, Nepse was also discussing the issue of opening share trading on Friday instead of giving leave on Sunday.
sebon has instructed Nepse to open the market on Friday to open the stock market within five days.
