Nepal- Mikhailo Podoliak, an adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, says 100 to 200 of his country’s soldiers die every day in the war with Russia. He gave this information on Thursday, local time.
On the same day, however, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that 100 Russian soldiers were being killed every day in Russian attacks. Another 500 were injured.
According to a BBC report, Russia has intensified its offensive to seize the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine. Ukraine’s military is under pressure from a series of bombings.
According to Podoliak, Russia is using almost all types of weapons in the Donbass, except for nuclear weapons. These include heavy artillery, rocket launchers and warplanes.
According to Zelensky’s adviser, Ukraine lags behind Russia in terms of combat capability in eastern Ukraine. That is why a large number of Ukrainian troops are being killed. As before, he said, Western arms aid was needed to deal with the situation.
Mikhail Podoliak said Ukraine needs 150 to 300 rocket launch systems. The demand for cannon is not a whim, but a necessity to deal with the situation on the battlefield.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that not only Ukraine but also a large number of Russian soldiers were killed in the counter-attack. The same was said by Sergei Gaidayer, governor of the Luhansk region of Donbass.
However, in tune with Podoliak, he also says that they are facing problems due to lack of cannons.
The main battle in eastern Ukraine is now over the city of Severodonetsk. Russia is carrying out intense attacks there. According to Ukrainian officials, the city has been reduced to rubble by Russian artillery and missile attacks.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that the fate of the Donbass will ultimately be determined by the battle in Severodonetsk.
Mikhail Podoliak said Kiev was not ready to continue talks with Russia to end the war. Zelensky’s adviser said he would only pursue peace talks if he returned to Russian-occupied territory since the start of the operation on February 24.
